A zip surfing ride sends the rider gliding along a tensioned cable on a surfboard-style platform — standing, seated or tandem — rather than hanging in a harness-only seat. That board format makes it feel like surfing the air, which gives it far higher perceived thrill and repeat-ride pull than a standard seated zip.
It is a genuine differentiator: OXO Planet introduced zip surfing to India, starting with the country's first installation at Great Rocksport, Sonipat. Most builds sit on a multi-activity tower, where zip surfing becomes the signature, most-photographed line. OXO has delivered zip surfing across India and Nepal since 2021, in spans up to 200 m.

- Two cost components make up the figures above: the support towers (~₹8–15 lakh depending on span and length) and the technical setup — the running cable at about ₹4,500 per metre plus surf-trolley kits (board, trolley and auto-retrieval) at about ₹12,000 per kit.
