The Brief
The Namchi Forest & Environment Department wanted an eco-tourism attraction inside a biodiversity zone: a river-crossing ride with minimal footprint, delivered to government procurement and environmental standards.
Engineering Decisions
A new zipline tower design was developed for this site. River-span cable profiling set the tension and sag envelope, while environmental constraints inside the biodiversity park shaped anchor placement and construction access — no heavy earthworks in the protected zone.
Outcome
Delivered directly for a state forest department — proof that OXO meets government environmental and procurement requirements. The reference project for eco-tourism installations, and OXO’s flagship in Sikkim.
