Engineering Decisions
The brief: ITBP needed a serious multi-discipline training wall at Khurda — on a hard deadline.
The engineering: a portable 12-metre wall carries every load itself — no host building. Foundation and frame were designed for exactly that, with a straight face for technique and endurance and an overhang face for advanced training, then erected in 28 days.
The outcome: India’s largest portable climbing wall, inaugurated with six disciplines demonstrated on launch day. The design promise was proven in January 2026, when ITBP dismantled and relocated the entire wall from Khurda to Auli, Uttarakhand — a training asset that moves with the force.
